At the 19th Annual Urquhart Memorial Foundation Scholarship Awards (Virtual) Ceremony, Linda Vanessa Wade implores and inspires twenty – two (22) scholars to persevere, because of and in spite of disruptions, distractions, discouragements.

Linda Vanessa Wade of L.V. Wade Consulting. LLC encouraged and urged students with inspirational messages such as…

“We’ve  survived well and adapted to the new normal from the health, socio-economic, political and global challenges of the past 2-3 years”

“Do not allow any negative emotions to become the center of your attention; instead allow them to make you stronger, shape you into who you were made to be.”

“Keep your eye on your prize, even it is not as you first imagined”

Sharing her personal testimony of life pursuits from growing up in Philadelphia to educator, motivator and teacher, she encouraged students to grow from experiences – good and bad.  “Don’t be afraid to take pauses and regroup around a revised “maybe even better” prize ahead.”

“Endure to become the best self you can be for yourself and others; keep moving forward”

Ms. Wade concluded with a prayer based on, “always keep God first”.
